Corporate structure and hierarchies, communication styles, business etiquette, relationship versus task orientation, leadership, team-building, meetings, presentations, training, negotiating styles, dealing with conflict, political correctness, job security issues; impact of cultural differences in the workplace.

Living Overseas:  What issues are most important to you? Anticipated topics: What's it really like where I'm going, coping with the weather, housing and utilities, transport, banking, building a credit history, insurance, health care, shopping, wining and dining, socialising, children's issues if applicable, keeping in touch back home.  Impact of cultural differences in lifestyle issues. Feedback is very important to us and having listened to our clients we are now extending our support to those who book Relocation Preparation Briefings.
Follow-up Consultation
In addition to the face-to-face expat briefing, we are recommending that a Skype call or webinar is scheduled within 3 months of the expat transferring.  This consultation lasts approximately one hour and is very effective in acting as a sounding board for any unusual or difficult situations that the expat is facing now he is in country.  If you would like this additional support, we would schedule the call  and provide the expat a Form to record their thoughts and keep track of any issues they faces during the settling-in period.  Two weeks before the call, we will contact them to return their form, so that the trainer can prepare effectively for their consultation, focussing on 3-4 key issues.

Babel also offers Foreign Language Training Courses throughout the UK and overseas, on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.  Please contact us today to find out more.
