Our Trainers

We have an excellent team of qualified and experienced language trainers.  At Babel, we select language tutors with a minimum first degree plus teaching qualification, such as a PGCE (or equivalent from their native country recognised by the DfEE), with more than 3-5 years’ experience of teaching businesspeople. Our preference is for people who have themselves worked in a business environment.

We manage our tutors both by regular email, telephone and on a face-to-face basis.  We see them personally when our Account Manager attends the client office for “Drop-In Clinics”, to observe them in a class or to co-host a Film Night with them.  We also encourage and pass on all feedback from the learner and provide support and advice to our tutors when necessary.  Learners are provided with their tutor’s telephone number and e-mail address for easy access and support.

Additionally, our cultural and communication experts are industry-leading consultants and authors with many years of overseas experience.  Our learning philosophy is about doing, not just listening, so our sessions are interactive, with lots of opportunity to practise and gain feedback.
