For those people who need to use the foreign language over the phone, such as Customer Services, Receptionists or Help-Desk personnel, Babel can provide a tailored course developing skills specifically for the telephone. This programme is available on a one to one basis or for small groups.  The subjects that are covered in the Telephone Course include the following:

• Getting through, leaving a message, arranging /confirming /cancelling a meeting, ringing back etc.
• Confidence building measures for using the telephone in a foreign language through language games
• Listening practice using pre-recorded material
• Number & spelling practice
• Looking at basic verbs used in telephone language
• Role-play building up from simple dialogues to slightly more complex exchanges
