Personal Development

If you would like to interact more competently and positively with others in the workplace, these personal development courses will help you enrich your working life.

International Negotiation Skills

This two-day International Negotiations Skills course will enable you to negotiate successfully with partners from around the world. It identifies the key skills of negotiating, as well as providing a practical framework for preparing a negotiation. It looks at how to identify your key targets, work out your tactics, deal with difficult negotiators, and achieve the results you want. You will also focus on the language of negotiation, persuading and influencing techniques and how to develop relationships with your negotiating partners.

The course will also help you to identify the key cultural parameters you need to take into account when negotiating internationally. You will be able to apply these parameters to the cultures you negotiate with. It will examine in greater depth the negotiating and communication styles of the main cultures you deal with. The more you know about your international partners, the more you will be able to adapt your style, and the greater the chance you will be able to communicate and negotiate successfully with them.

International Presentation Skills

This International Presentations Skills course will enable you to become a more effective and powerful international presenter.  The programme will focus on knowing your audience thoroughly, identifying the right message and making sure it hits home. You will learn how to adapt your presentations to different international audiences. You will examine how to keep your audience’s interest and attention throughout the presentation, by using your voice, body language, structure and visuals effectively. In addition, you will practice keeping control and handling questions.

Communicating with Greater Impact

This programme helps English speakers to increase the effectiveness of your communication and your comfort and confidence in business situations involving direct one-to-one communication, group discussions and presentations.  They are taught to speak in accessible, structured and clear language, avoid jargon and employ appropriate style.

Delegates learn how to overcome the barriers to effective communication, developing familiarity with questioning techniques, influence strategies, preferred communication styles, telephone, video-conferencing and e-mail skills, writing techniques, meeting preparation, effective listening and summarisation.

The workshop is highly interactive and through active briefing, group brainstorming and discussion, participants are involved in learning and practising your new skills.  Case studies and role-play exercises are used extensively for maximum impact.

Business Writing Skills

In today’s pressurised business environment, you and your colleagues may have less time to spend on composing reports, letters and other correspondence and crucially, your clients have less time to read the ever-increasing amounts of written material they receive.

So possessing the skills and techniques to communicate ideas and information quickly and effectively to both clients and colleagues – whether by means of a letter, report, proposal or e-mail, is vital.  Yet many of us have never been taught to write clearly and effectively.

Our workshops are fully interactive and feature a number of highly practical exercises that stimulate the delegates’ interest and reassure them of your ability to improve your writing skills.   The topics covered include structure, style, flow, grammar, punctuation and readability, all aimed at establishing a good rapport with the reader, in order to get key messages across.
